The Secret of Writing Effective Instagram Captions


Were you taught in school to keep content short? It's a good practice. In communications, we are advised to do the same in advertising, blogging, web writing, and social media.

Let's forget about that for a second. . .

Did you know Instagram captions with a little more length often perform better?

Many successful bloggers of today are even writing three or four paragraphs per post, separated by special characters. They all have one thing in common, and I'm not talking about emojis, hashtags, or professional photos: stories.

It's challenging to write a lot of content. Yes, but editing — and over-editing — to keep captions as short as possible is insane.

The solution? Use short and simple sentences, but tell a story, and don't stop yourself from writing a few engaging paragraphs. It's OK. In fact, it's on-trend.
